Darksodom I might make a video tutorial, but like greg88 said there are already plenty of videos. What's not included is how to fix the mouth and the eyes. But for starters, have a look at the videos and this:
Here's the grid view - select the vertices and move them for the initial fitting. Here's an example of Adin Hill. You can tell the left side has been moved to fit the background image, while the right side still needs some edit (the ear doesn't match etc.)
As greg88 wrote:
" using the player's photo as a reference/background image, we need to prepare (edit) the .ebo model, which after exporting with NEBOViewer, we import into Blender as an .obj object."
Here's how to add a background/reference image + settings to adjust if needed.
You have to move the image once loaded and also drag one of the corner handles to resize it (if anyone knows how to load the referene image directly or close to the .obj, please share :))
Here's what I sent to senators96 some time ago (just a quick photo example + explanation) Fitting the .obj to the reference image is not explained here
Basically, it's load the EA texture -> copy the UV Map -> make sure to select UV Map.001 -> Load the player photo -> click ctrl+a to select all vertices -> Select UV in the 3D Viewport and choose Project From View (Bounds) -> move the model around using g and resize up or down using s. -> when satisfied with the initial result -> Choose Texture Paint -> Clone -> Choose Single Image, select the EA base model texture and UV Map -> scroll down and check Clone from paint slot and select your Mattsson photo and UV Map.001 -> in Options make sure that Bleed is set to 0 and Backface Culling and Occlude are unchecked -> Set Brush radius to 150 ca. and start cloning by brushing on the EA base model in the 3D Viewport.
Make sure to open the original EA texture in Photoshop and resize it according to the source photo (might need a few tries). For this example I resized the 3070 base model to 590x590 and pasted Mattsson's SHL.se photo on top. Then I exported the 3070 EA texture. Then I cropped the pasted Mattsson photo (we'll need it for the Project From View (Bounds) part in Blender) and exported it. Now you're all set.
Not included:
*Loading a background image and editing to the 3D model to fit the image
*Fixing the eyes and mouth

Tyson12 Looks great. Keep it up !
Thanks
Like you just wrote, it seems they are still using the jerseys from last season I know it's confusing.
Have you seen this reference photo in the webshop? https://shop.bluefox.dk/merchandise/hjemmebanetr%C3%B8je
Peedy20 You can find photos of Herning Blue Fox' white jersey here: https://metalligaen.dk/nyheder/skarpe…erg-og-herning/
For HD photos simply remove the '?width=500&height=333.33333333333337' part in the address bar.
Example:

And you can find photos of Herning Blue Fox' blue jersey here: https://metalligaen.dk/nyheder/billed…rning-herlev-1/ (use the same method as above to view the photos in HD)
Peedy20 Great work and at great speed too
What do you use for the model in Blender? I couldn´t find an ebo or an obj for the mask.
In late April last year, I made a test version of and called it Mask viewer (Blender). I think I sent it to some addon-makers, but no one ever used it. Included are the files you need and the original files.
I've been meaning to upload it for everyone to download and will do so soon. Meanwhile, check your PM, I sent it to you
Tyson12 Can you try to paint on 2048x2048 texture?
Yes Here's the result (much better):
Another sample. This time it's a Daveart design for Hugo Alnefelt (Tampa Bay Lightning). 5-10 minutes work again. Came out decent especially the top part, but one must pay attention to moving the vertices correctly. The marking with a red ring is an example of this Also, not sure if the original image got compressed too much by painting on a 512x512 base model.
Here's Mathias Niederberger's mask. This was 5-10 minutes of work.
Below: Matching the UV Map copy (UV Map.001) to the source photo
Below: After the UV Map.001 has been texture painted onto the original UV Map + texture preview.
Here's the texture. Obviously some better matching must be done on the top part. But that's "easy" to improve in Blender.
Lately, I've been practicing using texture paint in Blender 2.93 LTS (latest version of Blender).
Here's the latest one using texture paint. Still plenty of editing to do before it's a finished cyberface.
Gerard Gallant (Head coach, New York Rangers)
The cool thing about texture paint is, we can use it when creating masks as well. Although it can be a bit more complex depending on the details of the mask. Below I've included two examples.
The first example is of the side part of Markström's latest mask (complex in terms of fitting the different texture painted parts in Photoshop)
The second is example is Frederik Dichow's mask (Montreal Canadiens prospect).
Don't mind the mirrored texture, that happens when texture painting for now. Do pay attention to how the stretching is much improved and better than what we can do with different warp tools/cropping techniques in Photoshop.
Lastly, and this is quite a breakthrough I suppose. Each of the 6 referees in the game can have a custom referee uniform in the game now.
There's an old modified .fshx file that allows each coach to have a custom suit in the game. I hex edited that fshx, so now each of the 6 referees in the game can wear custom uniforms, which brings more realism to the game/allows for a better league experience where the referee uniforms have different numbers (like the NHL).
greg88 In case you want to create Gallant, there's an EA model for him already 1312 - Gallant, Gerard and you can find his 2021 IIHF World Championship portrait here https://photo.iihf.hockey/zenphoto/album…10209196301.jpg
Weiß jemand was unter "Businessprint.dk" im weißen Feld steht? ich finde einfach nichts.
