While extracting textures that I want to contribute to the Textures Resource, I happen to come across some interesting and unused content for NHL 2005. This is one of the unused content that I found.
It is none other than the infamous Wildwing jersey of the Mighty Ducks worn during the 1995-96 NHL season, whose textures were deeply hidden away within the game files, although it did not have a unique TORF icon in the menu. I've decided to make a unique TORF icon, using the exact same leaked TORF model used in the Create-a-Team mode, which I also used to make the TORF icons for the jerseys I made for the Actua Ice Hockey TC. To access the Wildwing jersey, in the PC version at least, first, install this very TORF icon and then use NHLView to change the number of jerseys for Anaheim to 6.
I have really no idea as to why the jersey was made for the game, before it got scrapped and the TORF icon for it was never made.
It's worth noting that this jersey has not re-appeared in any other entry in the series since them. Files for the texture do not appear in NHL 06 to 09.
