Hello. Good work. I like that but can u do little changes please? I mean can u add to Edmonton (you will hear the song and playing during the horn.
), Detroit ( u will hear Eminem's song at the end of the horn.
), Dallas ("dallas scores" in horn.
), Minnesota ( if its possible can u also add song in horn.
). These things are constantly played as a unique feature of these teams, just like you did with the Florida Panthers cat's roar.

The problem is with that is that since there’s already pre programmed songs in-game, they would overlay if i remake horns with their respective unique touches. So for easier universal use, most teams don’t have their unique aspects, unless it’s florida like you had mentioned

i do need to remake some sounds so there’s going to be a new update fairly soon

Another thing is that since the horn sound file is hardcoded to be 15 seconds max, if i go over that limit it will crash the whole game

Ok, Thank you. I meant сan you fit this unique things in 15 seconds?

it’s possible yes, but like i mentioned it would overlap with the soft coded in game goal songs, so i chose not to include it. it can work but you would need to play around with the ditty files and remove most of the goal songs for it to work smoothly

I'm really new to pc and modding i don't understand how to even add the sounds in the game when i download them

So in your game directory, drag and drop (or extract) all the files from the zip into there

then run the 2019-20 goal horn batch file, then run bhimport.

and it should be installed

then go into nhlview and change all the horn numbers

Hello @Wasserlasser
Unfortunately, the add-on isn't working for me. I copied all the files to the folder: D:\NHL 09 folder, ran the .bat file, and then ran the toolbox. I'm not getting the current goal song for home games in Boston or Ottawa, for example, so neither “Zombie Nation” nor “Song 2.”
I would appreciate some help so that I can use the add-on. Thank you in advance. :cry:

the sound files that play after a goal are scored are completely different from what the files i provided give you

the sfx.abk and sfx.ast are the horn files only, which mean i can only fit about 15 seconds of sound before the game crashes. as much as i do want to include songs, they would overlap with the ingame music already provided, then eventually crash the game once it hits 15 seconds. that is why some teams (like the panthers) have the panther growl, just for added realism, because that is unfortunately game limitation

regardless, songs that play after a goal arent specific to a team in game, so even if i did change the streams, it wouldnt really matter

in essence, these are only horn files. if you want real songs youd have to play around with the streams.viv file, using nhl06 stream editor. with that, you can change menu songs, win songs, etc

i really don't understand how i even got the game to work in the first place i downloaded the game from the internet archive and it needed a code so then i downloaded the game from this site https: //gg.wiretarget.com/nhl_09.htm and it works but then i tried to delete the internet archive version but it wont let me delete it it says cant delete files in file explorer cause there are active programs it also seems like one download doesn't work without the other im honestly very confused by this

@kireletical
Thank you for your detailed reply. If I understand you correctly, your add-on only includes goal horns, but no goal songs. Is that right? That would be a shame, because I really enjoy this feature in NHL 04 Rebuilt and it would be great to have it in NHL 09 as well. You say it would be complicated using the NHL 06 Stream Editor. Okay. I know NHL 04 has a completely different architecture than NHL 09. Nevertheless, thank you very much for your add-on. Best regards, BVB09

@BVB09 yeah the add-on only includes horns. its pretty easy to use the streams editor for song editing, just my streams file is already modified but its corrupt. but if youd like i can give you a short tutorial

@hhh

you need to close all of the files related to the game before you can uninstall it. find the game on myabandonware and then go through there.

theres 2 myabandonware sites none of them have nhl 09

@kireletical Since I mainly play DEL, DEL 2, and the national teams in NHL 09, it's not so bad not having the goal songs for the NHL teams. I mainly play NHL in NHL 04 Rebuilt. Nevertheless, I would like to take you up on your offer of a short tutorial and ask you to write it. Thank you very much and best regards, BVB09
