One idea that I had was to have the Russian Superleague be in NHL 08 via NHLView's rudimentary team creator. The things that I got after importing the teams' respective graphics were:
1. The graphics are not even showing up.
2. The jerseys being the Creation Zone ones, despite both custom jersey indexes being set to 0.
3. This "Unloaded! Wagd!" text that I do not know the meaning of.
And last, but most importantly...
4. A game crash if I try to use any of the teams.

The reason I did it like this is so that I don't "remove" any teams by editing over top of them. Is there anything I am doing incorrectly here?

Custom Teams are very buggy, you'll run into problems later, including localization. I used to also want to add clubs through this option, but in the end I had to change existing clubs.

But the graphics work, it's easy to set up. But "Unloaded! Wagd!" is probably also somewhere in the localization and it can be removed, I had some gibberish there, but I have a Russian localization. When starting a match, the text is also displayed crookedly during the preview of the teams.

Ah, I see. Localization is not something that I had thought of, as I am a monolingual English speaker.

Today, I thought of using existing teams, but a wrench got thrown into that plan because the Create Team text for Augsburg seems to be shared with how it appears in players like the Edit Lines screen.

There are also localization files for English. In local.viv, there are frontEnglish.bat and gameEnglish.bat

It's better not to do anything through the team creation functionality in the game itself. You need to work in NHLView.

NHLView was precisely how I was creating the teams initially. The first post explained what issues I had encountered doing that. Also, those are .bin files, not .bat files.
