  • I placed the 4 files where they needed to go, ran the tools-box, and now my games have NO announcers at all. Just rink noise ? I double checked the game play sound settings and they seem ok. Any thoughts ??

    I just wanted to double check where to place these 5 files:


    audpbpe.big

    audpbpe.idx

    audrinke.big

    audrinke.idx


    I guessed and put these 4 in NHL09/audio/speech


    I wasn't sure where to place;


    New PBP 2017.xls


    Afterwards do I just have to run the Toolbox?


    I am brand new at this, but I have managed to get almost everything working by browsing around the site and following instructions but Im just not sure if Im doing the Play by Play right.

    • The aud files go here audio/speech

      The xls is just an info as you can see when you open it

      Then run the Toolbox and your are good to go.

    • When I run the NHL toolbox I quickly get the following error message:


      "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.


      Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\NHL 09\Toolbox' is denied."


      I've tried pressing "Continue" and then click on the "Install AddOns" button at the top of the Toolbox and then right away I get another error message saying the exact same thing, but a different file this time:

      If I click "Continue" the status bar shoots up to 70% instantly but never progresses from that.


      I'm basically trying to install Amnesiac's roster update but according to his readme file I need to install the play-by-play update which requires the toolbox.


      Can you help, please?
