    Hello,

I would like to use my custom puck design for my own custom teams, which I have created via the ingame Team Editor.

I was able to exchange the Puck for the standard teams (e.g. national teams, league teams, etc), by identifying the corresponding ID in NHL view, but not for custom teams.

In fact, I even tried to assign the same (Arena) Art ID to a league team and a custom team.

The result was, that my new puck was shown for the league team, but not for the custom team.

For custom teams, the game always applies a default EA Sports design for the puck.

So it seems like that there is a different game mechanism for custom teams.

Could anyone please tell me which Puck ID is taken by default for custom teams?

Or does anyone know where I can identify or change the ID for custom teams in NHLview?

    Thanks and kind regards,

    Altay

    Hello,

I am building my own mod with my own fantasy teams.

I am trying out different things in the beginning.

For instance, I created a custom tean within the game and checked the parameters in NHLview.

Now, I noticed that within the game, you have to select a city from a given list.

I also noticed the the audio commentaries during the game refer to this specific city, e.g. "Today's game is Alberqueque vs.." or something similar.

In NHLview I changed the city name manually (to a non-existing one) and it was shown in the game.

However, the audio commentaries are still referring to the original city, so I assume that a specific parameter ID of the team determines which commentaries are applied within the game.

So, I am wondering if it is it advisable to change the city name in NHL view like I did or could this cause any weird side effects?

Or how do I correctly introduce a new city in NHL 09?

And in general, what would be the easiest way to prevent commentaries regarding a specific city.

For instance, in EA's NBA 2000, the audio speaker would call my team within the game just "custom team".

Can something similar be achieved in NHL 09 or do I have to record my own audio commentaries? :)

    Many thanks and kind regards!

    You need to run Bhimport.bat

Seems to me you done everything else correct.

    Thanks for your feedback!

It seems like that rebuilding just the one file is not enough, as the BHimport script process and rebuilds many files that I didn't touch. I assume, Toolbox does pretty much the same.

Anyways, I managed to get to work the game on my new PC with Windows 11, so I was able to use Toolbox in the end and then the new logo was also shown in the game.

    Hello,

I would like to create my own fantasy teams with my own logos, etc., for NHL 09.

Previously, I successfully modded NBA Live 2000, Fifa 2005 and Fifa 22.

So, my first (tryout) step was to exchange a (large) logo in tlogoapt.viv file.

NHL 09 is installed on a 32-Bit machine (Pentium 4 era), but this means that I can't use the Toolbox.

I basically followed the steps as described in the tutorial that you find in the following thread:

Except for the last step, since I don't have the Toolbox as mentioned before.

    Instead, I used Biggui to

    1. import the .big -file with the new logo into the tlogoapt.viv file, i.e. replacing the old .big file

    2. compressed the newly imported file

    3. rebuild the viv

However, what always happens as a result is that all the logos disappear in the game. See attached screenshot.

In fact, this happens when I re-import the same .big file again or even when I just click on rebuild in Biggui whithout exchanging any file at all!

So it seems that I am missing a significant step in the process, probably something that is done within the Toolbox?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

    Many thanks and kind regards,

    Altay
