"injury limbo"
Players in "injury limbo" have either missed too many games last season or are expected to miss the entire next NHL season. Thus, they won't be eligible in VHA. Instead, they will be placed on LTIR (Long Term Injury Reserve) when your 23 man rosters are due. Their salary will be wiped from the team's payroll.
If any of these players are reporting to camp and cleared to play at any point, their limbo status will be removed and the GM will be able to reinstate the player (cap permitting).
All players in limbo have been moved to LTIR, until further notice. See post below.
"injury watch"
Players on injury watch have not missed a significant number of games in a row last season to be placed on LTIR just yet. They are currently injured long term and are expected to miss a good chunk of games next season.
At the midway point of the VHA season, if they are still ineligible to play in the NHL, their status will change to "injury limbo" and they will be placed on LTIR immediately.
Prior to the trade deadline, another LTIR update will be generated with the same ineligibilty conditions.
If at any moment these players are cleared to play, their injury watch status will be removed.
