It was discovered that the NHL has cap leniency when it comes to players in the AHL system.
For example, 2 way contracts are excluded from the Cap calculation, as well as players making less than 1.25M per season, on a 1 way deal.
For various significant reasons for not disrupting the current VHA system, in light of this new information, a 2.5M cap bump was added to all VHA teams effective immediately.
Bringing the VHA Cap amount to 90.5M
This will give everyone some breathing room for subsequent buyouts, trades and perhaps additional UFA signings if needed.
