In order to counter another one of EA's botched goalie fatigue factor, VHA enforced a backup goalie minimum of 900 minutes played across the league many seasons ago and is still true today:
The following teams have sent their starting goalie on a well deserved vacation for a minimum of 7 days:
BOS - backups combined for 601 minutes - Tuukka Rask will be unavailable for 1 week
CHI - backups combined for 307 minutes - Sergei Bobrovsky will be unavailable for 2 weeks
DAL - backups combined for 674 minutes - Marc-Andre Fleury will be unavailable for 1 week
FLA - backups combined for 668 minutes - Semyon Varlamov will be unavailable for 1 week
VGK - backups combined for 508 minutes - Braden Holtby will be unavailable for 1 week
NSH - backups combined for 544 minutes - Juuse Saros will be unavailable for 1 week
NYI - backups combined for 649 minutes - Jacob Markstrom will be unavailable for 1 week
VAN - backups combined for 679 minutes - Carey Price will be unavailable for 1 week
