The Wasserlasser Team
  • It's almost august and yes, we can finally say that the Covid season has come to a dramatic end!

I wanted to thank everyone for a crazy ride that was Season 7.

Never have we had such a tight playoff race in both conferences, resulting in 4 VHA teams making the playoffs for the first time.

To all teams making the playoff, we all experienced highs and lows, teams moving on in joy and others journeys coming to a brutal and unfair halt (been there too many times).

To my playoff opponents, you were all powerful and dangerous and the biggest challenge in my VHA career.

All games could have gone either way - from beginning to end - as the final game that concluded in overtime demonstrated.

5 games series vs Tampa Bay, including 1 OT game and 4 one-goal games.

5 games series vs New Jersey, including 2 OT games.

7 games series vs Philadelphia, including 2 OT games.

7 games series vs Minnesota, including 4 OT games and a total of 6 one-goal differential games.

The delayed season start could have derailed any league into oblivion, but not VHA.

We stuck together and got thru it all.

I am so proud that we were able to pull this off in difficult times.

Not even a world pandemic could stop VHA.

Glad VHA was a place to have fun playing a game we love and just hang out.

I raise my glass to you my friends!

    Cheers!

Thank you to everyone that participated in this memorable season and good luck to everyone in Season 8, which is already underway!
